Welcome to Kwik Kian Gie School of Business 

Kwik Kian Gie Institute of Business and Information Technology was established as Institut Bisnis Indonesia (Indonesian Business Institute/IBII), an educational institution concentrating on business. The institute was founded in 1987 and awarded the title BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration), equivalent to bachelor program, to its graduates. The founders of the foundation, Kwik Kian Gie and fellow business practitioners who excel in their respective fields, Kaharudin Ongko and Djoenaedi Joesoef, not only reflect but also to convince the public that the ins and outs of the business is the main focus of education at the institution.

In 1993, Institut Bisnis Indonesia became IBII School of Economics (STIE IBII) and offered two undergraduate programs: Management and Accounting. The Management Program offered three concentrations: Financial Management, Marketing Management and Entrepreneurship; the Accounting Program offered Accounting Management, Auditing, and Tax. The year also marked the establishment of graduate program in Management with two concentrations: Financial Management and Marketing Management.

In 2004, STIE IBII established a postgraduate program in Management and offered four concentrations, i.e. Financial Management, Marketing Management, Strategic Management, and Management Accounting

In 2005, STIE IBII established graduate program in Accounting with three concentrations: Internal Auditing, External Auditing, and Financial Services. 

In line with the demands of the changing times, in March 2005, STIE IBII turned into Indonesian Institute of Business and Information Technology (IBII) and added four undergraduate programs, i.e., Information Systems, Information Technology, Communication Studies, and Business Administration.

In October 2012, IBII became Kwik Kian Gie Institute of Business and Information Technology or Kwik Kian Gie School of Business.

The seriousness in managing quality education has resulted. This can be seen in the S2 program, the Institute of Business and Information Technology Kwik Kian Gie achieved accreditation status Excellence for Master of Management Studies program. In addition, the seriousness in implementing the quality management system has been proven by the success of the Institute of Business and Information Technology Kwik Kian Gie in achieving quality management system certificate ISO 9001:2000 international standard.
